About qr & barcode
Generate QR codes for links, plain text, WiFi networks and contact cards, plus barcodes, all in your browser. Every code made here is static — the data is encoded directly into the pattern, so the code works forever, has no expiry, involves no tracking, and doesn't depend on any third-party service staying online. Download it as a PNG and use it anywhere. For a fixed destination (a website, a menu link, a WiFi password), a static code is simpler and more reliable than a paid dynamic one.
Frequently asked questions
Do the QR codes made here expire?
No. These are static QR codes — the destination is encoded directly into the pattern, so the code keeps working as long as whatever it points to still exists. There's nothing to renew and no subscription.
Can I track scans of my QR code?
Not with a static code — scan tracking requires a dynamic code routed through a third-party service. If you don't specifically need analytics, static is the better choice: nothing to break, nothing to pay for, no data passing through a middleman.
Why won't my QR code scan?
Usually it's printed too small, has too little blank margin around it, has low contrast (light code on a busy background), or has a logo overlay too large for its error-correction level. QR codes need dark-on-light with clear space around them.
