Privacy Policy

Plain-language notes on what actually happens with your data on this site.

Last updated: 10 September 2026

Your files

Tools marked with the "processed locally" note read your file in your browser and never transmit its contents to a server — there is no upload step for those tools, by design; the site has no file-storage backend to upload to. A handful of pages are explicitly labelled as unavailable rather than routing your file anywhere, because the operation would need server-side processing this site doesn't have.

Local storage on your device

The site stores a few small preferences in your browser's localStorage: your light/dark theme choice, a list of recently-opened tools, and any tools you've favourited. This data stays on your device, is never transmitted anywhere, and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.

Cookies

This site does not set its own cookies. See the Cookie Policy for the full picture, including what a future ad provider would add.

Analytics

The site's code includes an optional, disabled-by-default analytics hook (window.TOOLQIVA_ANALYTICS) that tool pages call for basic usage events — a tool was opened, a conversion started or finished. It is not connected to a tracking provider by default. If it is ever enabled, it is designed to never receive your file's contents or personal information, only event names and counts; this policy will be updated first if that changes, including naming the provider used.

Third-party libraries

Some tools (OCR, DOCX/ZIP handling, barcode generation) load a JavaScript library from a public CDN (jsdelivr.net or cdnjs.cloudflare.com) the first time you use that specific tool. Loading a script from a CDN reveals your IP address and browser details to that CDN operator, the same as loading a web font or an image from another site would — but your file's contents are not part of that request. Where practical, libraries are hosted on this site instead of a CDN to avoid this entirely; pdf.js is one example.

Advertising

Ad placements are currently disabled site-wide via a feature flag. If ads are enabled in the future, this policy will be updated to name the ad provider and describe any tracking it performs before it goes live.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
