Frequently asked questions

What photo size do SSC, IBPS and UPSC forms need?

It varies by exam and is stated in each notification, but common ranges are: SSC 20–50KB (both photo and signature), IBPS photo 20–50KB (200×230px) and signature 10–20KB (140×60px), UPSC photo up to 300KB and signature 20–300KB (min 350×350px). Always confirm against your specific notification.

Why didn't it hit my exact target?

The tool searches for the highest quality that still fits under your target size — for a very small target on a highly detailed image, it may need to also reduce dimensions further than requested to get there.

Is my file uploaded anywhere?

No. Resizing and compression run locally in your browser using the Canvas API.
